Higher fat beef will shrink much more than leaner beef. If using 85% or fattier beef, make sure to make the patties extra wide and a bit bigger to accommodate the shrinkage. Have fun with the toppings. Since sliders are so little, they lend well to extra flavorful toppings & sauces.
Preheat the air fryer at 380°F/193°C for 5 minutes.
Mix together the beef, Worcestershire, and garlic powder until just combined. Divide mixture into 6-8 even balls. Lightly flatten each ball to form a small patty. For best texture, try not to overwork the patties. Form them just enough so that the patties hold their shape.
Lightly spray patties with oil. Season liberal amount of salt and pepper on top of patties.
Spray the air fryer basket/tray with oil & place the sliders in the basket/tray.
Air fry 380°F/193°C for 5 minutes. Flip the patties and cook for another 1-3 minutes, or until the center is cooked to your preferred doneness or internal temperature reaches 160°F.
For Cheeseburger Sliders: add the slices of cheese on top of the cooked patties. Air fry at 380°F/193°C for about 30 seconds to 1 minute to melt the cheese.
For best juiciness, cover the patties and let rest for a couple minutes. While patties are resting, warm the buns in the air fryer at 380°F/193°C for about 1 minute. Serve on buns, topped with your favorite toppings.
