Make sure the pasta is cooked enough before air frying. We like our pasta cooked a little softer, then when it’s air fried it’s not so hard. If your pasta is too al dente, then after air frying it might end up hard and not crispy. Read our write up in the post about al dente pasta.

Ingredients
8oz.(227g)dried Bowtie(Farfalle) Pasta, or pasta shape of choice
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta to package directions. Cook until it is tender (it crisps up best if it is cooked a little beyond al dente).
Drain the pasta and put in a bowl. Toss with the olive oil, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and salt (it should be well seasoned).
Cooking in batches if needed, put just a single layer of the seasoned pasta in the air fryer basket/tray. (For most air fryers, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the basket/tray. For best results air fry in just a single layer.)
Air Fry at 380°F/195°C for 7-10 minutes, shaking and stirring the pasta every 2-3 minutes making sure to separate any pasta sticking together. (Shaking often helps them crispy evenly and not burnt.) Cook until the pasta is golden and crispy to your liking. Timing will vary depending on your air fryer model, type of pasta you’re cooking and preferred texture.
If cooking in batches, the next batches might cook quicker because the air fryer is already hot. Serve with warmed marinara sauce or sauce of choice.
