Tips on How to Cook Corn on The Cob in Air Fryer
- We start with fresh corn and haven’t tried frozen corn on the cob.
- Can you use frozen corn? If you want to cook them from frozen, it might take the same amount of time. The challenge would be to air fry through the corn from frozen and it might end up making the kernals mushy. But if you don’t mind that texture, then air frying corn from frozen is pretty quick.
- Cut the fresh corn ends to fit your air fryer basket. Or cut them in half for smaller air fryer sizes.
- Spray with olive oil spray and season with salt and pepper.
- If you add butter first, it might burn. So it’s better to add butter later when you eat it.
- Enjoy the beautiful texture and flavor for air fried corn! All recipe details are in recipe box below.

Is White or Yellow Corn Better?
It all depends on where you buy it at. If it’s a seasonally fresh corn from the market, then most likely you’re going to get a sweet and delicious corn. Our favorite is sweet white corn. The kernels are tender and delicious and a real treat! Do you have a preference on the variety of corn?

Air Fryer Corn on the Cob
Ingredients
- 2 (2) fresh ears of corn , shucked and cleaned
- salt , to taste
- black pepper , to taste
- oil spray or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter for spreading
Equipment
Instructions
- Remove leaves and silk from the corn. Make sure all the silk is removed so it doesn't burn during air frying. Cut end of corn to fit air fryer basket. If needed for smaller air fryer, cut the corn in half.
- Coat all sides of the corn with oil spray or olive oil. Season with salt and pepper around the whole corn.
- Air Fry at 370°F for 12-16 minutes, flipping half way. Cook until kernels are tender and lightly browned. (Cooking time will depend on size of corn, how full air fryer basket is, & different models/sizes of air fryers).
- When corn is cooked to your liking, Spread butter on the corn along with additional salt, pepper or your favorite seasonings, if needed. Enjoy!
If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).

Adding toppings or sauce to the corn:
Once your corn is cooked, you can take it to another level. Adding different cheeses like feta cheese, blue cheese or parmesan cheese. Try our homemade chili crunch or a drizzle of chimichurri sauce is a great way to make the corn more flavorful.

LOVE doing corn in the airfryer. The oil is great but you can also use I Cant Believe Its Not Butter spray That way corn already has butter flavor while cooking
Great to know! We hadn’t tested it with the butter sprays yet, so we weren’t sure if they burned or not. That’s going on our next batch!
