Best Air Fryer French Fries:

Here’s some easy tips to air frying frozen french fries like waffle fries, curly fries from frozen. Or how to make fresh homemade fresh fries in the air fryer.

  1. Recipes were cooked in 3-4 qt air fryers. If you’re using a larger air fryer, the recipe might cook quicker so adjust cooking time.
  2. If cooking in multiple batches, the first batch will take longer to cook if Air Fryer is not already pre-heated.
  3. Remember to set a timer to shake/flip/toss the food as directed in recipe.
  4. If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).

For Frozen: It helps to lightly spray the frozen fries with oil, especially if they’re thin. That way the thin fries won’t dry out during air frying. You don’t need alot of oil, just a light spray.

For Fresh Fries: We love using russet potatoes, gold yukon potatoes or white potatoes. The texture of these air fried homemade fries are like a crispy roasted texture. They don’t have all the deep fried oil for that big “crunch”. But there’s hardly any oil so they’re still delicous and worth the effort.
