Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Zucchini Fries (or wedges)
These strips of amazing crispy zucchini are a fantastic side dish and a fantastic as an appetizer too. The crispy salty outside of the bacon combined with the fresh bite of crisp zucchini is amazing. It’s such a great combination of flavors and textures. When Summer gives you tons of zucchini or summer squash, these delicious bites are perfect to share. We love crispy bacon, so we like cooking these a little longer. The zucchini still will be tasty because zucchini has so much moisture in it already. The little extra cooking time will just make the bacon taste better!

Keto and Low Carb Air Fryer Recipe
The best part about this dish is that it’s low carb and totally keto friendly. If you’re on the keto diet and getting bored with the same low carb vegetables, this combination is made for you. It’s perfect with the hardly any carbs and satisfying flavors. It’s a great way to satisfy your snack cravings. Or just add it as a side dish to the rest of your keto meal. Try using different flavors of bacon like applewood smoked or other types of smoked bacon. The air fryer cooks the bacon to the perfect crisp and give you something to eat without the carb guilt. Try some different types of bacon to have more delicious fun!
Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Zucchini Fries (or wedges)
Ingredients
- 1 lb. (454 g) zucchini (2 small-medium zucchini)
- 8 slices bacon , (cut in half lengthwise) (or as much bacon as needed)
- oil spray
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) garlic powder
- salt , to taste
- black pepper , to taste

Instructions
- Cut the zucchinis in half lengthwise and then into wedges, 1-inch (2.5cm) at the base (usually quartered for small-medium sized zucchini). Lightly spray zucchini with oil. Season all sides with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Wrap with bacon and then season with extra black pepper (optional). Toothpick the bacon into the zucchini to stay in place, and then put in the air fryer basket/tray.
- Air Fry at 380°F for 10-16 minutes or until the bacon is crispy to your liking. Flip zucchini half way through cooking. Allow to cool for a couple minutes before serving (zucchini will be very hot). Remove toothpicks before eating.
Notes
If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).

I love this recipe for my low-carb diet. It really takes my craving for something savory away.

These bacon wrapped zucchini fries were amazing. Everyone at the Summer cookout loved it.
I cooked them in my larger air fryer for an extra 6 minutes to get them extra crispy. And it probably took longer cause it’s a bigger air fryer. Thanks so much for the great recipe!
