It’s hard to not love these. But best of all, the texture can be al dente or crispy. Thats the wonderful thing about cooking carrots in the air fryer: you cook them to your preferred texture. The hot circulating air cooks the carrots crispy and concentrated with wonderful carrot flavor. The thickness of the carrots varies the cooking time, so just cheep checking on the carrots until they are perfect to your liking!

Cooking Times Will Differ
Cooking Times will vary depending on how thick your carrots are and the size that you cut them. Also, air fryers cook differently too. Some cook quicker and hotter than other models. So consider your first batch a “test’ to see how long it takes for you to get to the texture that you prefer. Some folks like their carrots softer while others like it with more of a “bite”.
Can You Air Fry Frozen Carrots?
Yes, you can but the texture is much different from using fresh carrots. Frozen veggies are always more mushy and squishy textured. If you’re using frozen carrots, you’re basically re-heating the carrots. You can use our same time and temp below, but keep checking on them to make sure they’re to your preferred doneness. All frozen brands have different sizes and thicknesses of carrots so cooking times will vary dramatically. Our cooking times below are for fresh carrot that are cut to the size in the photo.
Air Fried Carrots Recipe
- Wash the fresh carrots. Slice the carrots diagonally in 1/2-inch thick slices. Combine the olive oil, herbs, salt & pepper in a bowl. Add the carrots and toss to evenly combine. Place the carrots in the air fryer basket.
- Air Fry at 360°F for 10-15 minutes or until your desired texture.
If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).
