Tips on Air Frying Sesame Shrimp with Vegetables
- The size of shrimp matter in terms of how long to cook. We used medium shrimp for our timing. So if you cook with larger shrimp, you might need to add another minute or two of air frying time.
- Not any vegetable will work if you plan on cooking it together with the vegetables. We discuss this more below about the best vegetables for this recipe.
- Don’t over pack your air fryer basket. If you have a small air fryer basket, you should cook the recipe in two batches. It’s best to have the shrimp and veggies all in one layer during air frying.

Best Vegetables to Air Fry Together with Shrimp?
Because the shrimp cooks so fast, it’s best to use quick cooking vegetables. And make sure to cut them small so that they cook around the same time as the shrimp. OR, if the veggies are cooked faster, then remove them from the air fryer and cook the shrimp for the remaining time until they’re cooked.
- Thin snow peas or thin french style green beans will cook around the same time as the shrimp.
- Bell peppers that are cut small
- Slices of zucchini or summer squash
- Smaller and thin asparagus that’s cut short.

- Add the flavorful sesame shrimp to a bowl of ramen noodle soup
