Best Way to Re-Heat Frozen White Castle Sliders in Air Fryer {Simple Secret}

How to Cook Frozen Sliders in the Air Fryer? It’s not rocket science here but it seems like so many people online are just throwing the frozen slider in the air fryer and re-heating it. This just does not work because the meat and cheese are still cold or half frozen in the center. Or the top bun gets cooked to a crisp.

  • We carefully separate the slider between the buns to separate the frozen meat and cheese half from the top bun. Using a fork is the best and most simple way. separated frozen slider
  • Then we air fry the meat and cheese bottom bun first so the frozen meat can cook.
  • After a few minutes of air frying to thaw and cook the meat and cheese, we lay the other frozen slider bun in the air fryer. Re-heat again so the top bun can be warm and crisp.
  • Our method avoids all the problems of having cold and frozen meat in the center and burnt buns.

Evo Oil Sprayer
Evo Oil Sprayer

We LOVE Evo Oil Sprayers. Not the prettiest, but they’re functional and spritz oil great! They don’t clog up like many others we’ve bought. There’s different styles, but all seem to have the same great spray head. Works great for grilling!

8.5" Square Blue Silicone Mat
Perforated Silicone Mat

There are Square Mats & Round Mats. These perforated non-stick silicone mats are used to cook food in your air fryer or steamer to minimize sticking. Holes allow hot circulating air to cook the food & keeps the food from sticking.

Perforated Parchment Paper

Parchment sheets are great for your air fryer or bamboo steamer (food tends to stick most on wire basket or tray). Choose from different sizes, shapes, white and brown (unbleached). Holes allow air to cook food evenly.

Why Do Frozen Sliders and Frozen Burgers Burn in the Air Fryer?

Are your frozen sliders and burgers burning in the air fryer? It’s because you have to separate the slider or burgers first! Especially when it comes to burgers with thick frozen meat patties, you just can’t air fry the whole thing at once. Separating the burgers and sliders allows you to have a hot patty and melty cheese.

If you’re air frying frozen burger patties, follow the same method we show below. But you will have to air fry the burger patty longer. Depending on the size and model of your air fryer, timing will change. Add about another 2 minutes to our suggested time below. Check on the burger and if you need more time, add another minute until it’s cooked to your preferred doneness.

Do not thaw the sliders before air frying. Don’t air fry the sliders whole. By the time the meat patty is heated, the top bun would be super crispy. You’ll want to remove the top bun and air fry the bottom bun and meat patty first. Then add the top bun to the air fryer and heat it up too.
