Why are they called Wieners? Same as hot dog?
There’s an interesting and long history of our classic American hot dog. It all started with sausages and that elongated meat shape in Germany, specifically Vienna Germany. Why Make Air Fryer Wieners?
It’s so quick and easy, there’s no reason to not air fry wieners or hot dogs! Most of the time when you’re busy or want to get the kids a quick snack, microwaving hot dogs is the go-to method. Second method is boiling them. But these air fryer weiners are a game changer. The texture is pretty much like grilling hot dogs where the outside is nice and crisp. The weiners have a wonderful “snap”, something you can’t get from boiling or microwaving them.

Why warm the hot dog buns in the air fryer?
There’s no reason to not do this because you will be obsessed with how great they taste and how easy they are. You have to warm the buns in the air fryer. It’s so good to eat your crisp air fryer wieners with a warm bun. Don’t put those wieners in a cold bun. Where is the love?! Once you warm the buns for about 1-2 minutes, you won’t ever eat a cold hard bun again. Trust us on this. Check out all our hot dogs in air fryer recipes here.
